It's very hard to find parking at night
Yes definitely
Really nice bibimpap at affordable price
Small place. Pretty good food.
Great Korean food and service with a modern and pleasant atmosphere.
Slow service, seriously short handed. Food tasted average
Spicy pork is my go-to. Open late, fair prices, large portions.
I very much enjoy the dishes and service, excellent area right next to my house. The workers are always helpful. Highly recommended.
Really awesome, authentic Korean food. Good price and good options
A bit loud most of the time but great environment and great food
Great food, perfectly spicy and happy staff. Our first time eating Korean food and we were not disappointed.
Wow. I live nearby and have walked by this place numerous times but hadn't stopped until tonight. The quality is excellent, the selection is diverse and the service is quick. The price is very fair for the feast you can have and I think anyone could be happy with the all you can eat menu - even the non bbq egg dish, rice cakes, as soft tofu soup (all also on the all you can eat menu) were fantastic.
ZZAN Korean Restaurant is a fusion inspired Korean restaurant. Interior looks psychedelic with a slight retro touch, which was quite awkward for a Korean restaurant. We had the military soup 부대찌개 and the donkatsu ëˆê¹ŒìŠ¤. They were both "okay" but not super fantastic. I was happy enough with my soju 소주.
So yummy!!! I received alot of help when I couldn't figure out what to pick. Very good service.
Open late nite
Not exactly a traditional Korean restaurant, but more of a cafe style joint with loud Korean music playing in the background which we didn’t mind. Dishes were relatively good compared to other Korean restaurants in the States, but seemed to be sweeter to suit local American customers. Fairly good customer service from waitresses and the dishes came out in a timely manner. Would I come back? I think so. Nicely located in downtown SFO which is always a plus.
Fantastic hidden gem. Ordered the soft tofu soup and it came with a cabbage salad and small banchan. The soft tofu soup its self was incredibly flavorful and one of the best I've had. I'm definitely coming back here!
The soup is good but the bibimbab was ok Bibim was served in a metal bowl so the rice got cold quick. If you opt for the hot stone bowl it probably would be better, But an extra 2dollars just to be severed hot is kind of a smack in the face. Over all just ok value not there
I found that SF doesn't have many great Korean restaurants but this one is pretty good. Im definitely not used to Korean food being this pricey but that's something I'll have to get used to here in the bay. They have Korean alcoholic drinks like soju and Korean beer so this is definitely the place to go to if you're in the inner city and looking for the Korean bar food experience. Out of everything I've tried I would recommend the corn cheese as your appetizer or snack. Their fried chicken was pretty good and their ddukbokki (spicy ricecake) hits the spot.
4 stars just because the food was sooo good. Nothing else was all that special about this place, it was very dark.. and it wasnt that expensive either... in SF money anyway.
The food is good, but like other reviews have said, (I think depending who you are) there’s a chance the waiter will skip your table for others that came in after you before finally acknowledging you.
We have spent great evening here. Food was very good and tasty, and staff was nice. Music was quite loud, though. Don’t get there if you wish a quiet evening...
A very good place to have quick lunch. The only reason for giving it 4 stars is their food is not very spicy :-)
The best Korean flavors I had ever! Not too sour fermented appetizers, not stale meet, juicy potato croquets that beat Spanish counterparts and for the first time I liked caramelized onions in spicy n sweet chicken (cheese on top balanced the excess sweetness!) I usually hate sweet food but not this one! Thanks a lot.
Nothing to say. It's the best Korean Restaurant I have ever been
Good service, great food and reasonable prices
Quick friendly service and good food for the price.
TL/DR; One of the best meals I've had in San Francisco. The service could be better but the food is so good you won't care. We had the breaded fried pork which was nothing short of excellent and pre sliced into perfect portions. Well seasoned and so light. The chicken wings were so good I immediately apologized for ever questioning why we ordered them. Do yourself a great favor and order the corn. It's like Mac and cheese, but with corn. Incredible. I can't wait to return.
Really nice place. Service is good, and food is awesome! It's $70 for an average 3 people meal (food + beer). The $20 dishes are great, tasty and 2 of them are perfect for 3 people!
Little busy but food was tasty :) soft tofu soup can be better with more tofu. But generally great. I want to try other dishes too.
Great atmosphere and food. Prices are reasonable too for both the food and drinks
My GF loves this place and she works in fine dining... So she's hard to please.
Best you are gonna get for a korean bar experience. Staff is friendly. Yogurt Soju will get you in trouble quick!
This Korean restaurant was our savior of the evening because it was open late! They were gracious enough to let us sit and eat although they were closing shortly.. which is more than I can say about Cocobang... it’s a cute, small but trendy place. Service was nice. Food was decent. We ordered the galbi, and the meat wasn’t the best quality and there was a lot of fat. Kim chi fried rice was good and I liked their ban chan (although there was just 3 items vs an array like the typical Korean places). Overall pretty decent. It did the job and fulfilled our hunger!
Great food good atmosphere and service fair prices
There is only a few short words....freakin n awesome! Your staff are great, fun and relaxing, sing if you want! Eat the great food...seafood pancakes first class. I had spicy squid n could not complain at all. Just go there peeps!
This place is one of my favorites! Affordable rates, big portions and the staff members are consistently helpful.
Last night in town. My wife and i were looking for some late night food after the play. The food was.excellent. We had skewers. Dumplings and some kimchee fried rice and another dish. Loved it. Service was great too! I highly recommend ZZAN.
Their lunch box specials are awesome, and the wings are great for a late night snack as well.
Love this place. Ate here 2 times and everything is super good
Best fish egg stew I tried. Boiled squid was great. Ice chilled soju bottle is better than bar cocktails around the area.
Holy Fork you guys. This is honestly THE best Korean I’ve ever had.I walked in. Was 1 of 3 white people and knew I had made the right decision. Wait took a bit, but it was just that busy. Wellllllll worth the wait.Get the bibimbap. Put cheese on it. Why not.The omelet is to die for.I tried to make my husband come back multiple times on the same trip but apparently he doesn’t like delicious things as much as me.
Quick and fast service, they are also friendly. Food and the side dishes are delicious and I enjoy every meal. Clean and had water at the table. My overall, I would go back and enjoy more of there meals. 5/5 Stars! ðŸ‘ðŸ˜
Visited for lunch, ordered bibimbab and spicy soft tofu soup. Those were tasty and just like what I've eaten in Korea. As a Korean, I assure Zzan''s bibimbab is much better than what I ate in some restaurants in Korea. I highly recommend this place.
Good food, mediocre service.A lot of Koreans eating in there so you know it’s good. Food is good, lots of selection and tasty. Though the service was lacking. Took a while to place my order (or grab someone’s attention to come) but once the order was placed it was quick. Portions are large, I would recommend sharing. We were 2 and had way too much leftover. We had: Veggie pan fried dumpings (which was more deep fried than pan fried though), fried glass noodle wrapped with seaweed as appetizers and then the beef stone bibimbap and the veggie fried rice. They were all delicious and tasty. I quite enjoyed the vegetable fried rice more than the bibimbap actually, it had a lot of oil in it which made it tasty.
Slightly overcooked food. Good flavors and service though.
SF Def lacks Korean bars and restaurants. This is a mix of the two. The food is pretty good albeit pricy if you go with tofu or Army stew. Meaning 30 a dish. They are sharable so that brings it down a bit. The drinks are great.small little place but love the chill atmosphere.
Decent spice, slightly under-seasoned but overall great spot with great prices.
I just discovered this place yesterday while walking through the neighborhood and decided to get some beef, chicken and shrimp skewers to go. I wanted a meaty snack and the prices were unbeatable. Had a frosty Lagunitas IPA on tap while I waited for my skewers and ended up crushing through their incredible menu. The skewers were excellent and with so many other great items to try on the menu, I had to go back today. Today I ordered the pan-fried lunch with tofu and was quite impressed. The vibe, music and service here rocks and I'll be back many more times to continue through the menu.
Great service and awesome food. Ordered the Chicken bibimbap and fried octopus. Really flavorful and great recommendations from the server.
